Optimization of goods acceptance process

Current process:
The acceptance workflow involves eight stations, each staffed by two individuals: one responsible for dictating data and the other capturing that information.
Implemented solution:
An innovative interface has been designed and implemented, utilizing a 'monoblock with touch display' system for specialists operating with touch panels.
Results: By the third month post-implementation, there was an impressive 80% increase in productivity per specialist, significantly optimizing the goods acceptance process.

Optimizing the process of entering goods into the system

Current process:
Weighing of goods: Electronic scales are used at each station to weigh goods, which are then manually entered into the system.
Measurement of weight and size characteristics: A tape measure is used at the stations to measure the weight and dimensions of the goods, with the results manually entered into the system.

Implemented solution:
Automation of weight and size measurements: The system was enhanced to automatically capture and log the weight and dimensional characteristics of goods at the point of entry, eliminating the need for manual entry.

Results:
Efficiency gains: Each operation is completed 19-26 seconds faster after all scales are connected to the PC for automatic data transfer.
Error reduction: There has been a 99% reduction in errors, significantly improving data accuracy.

Accelerating accounting processes

Current process
Document Generation: Accountants manually created invoices based on printed shipping lists.
Objectives:
  • Minimize manual data entry.
  • Decrease the time spent on document preparation.
Solution implemented:
Automated Document Flow: Shipping documents are now generated directly within the system and automatically transferred to the ERP via JSON requests. Accountants only need to print, sign, and stamp the documents.
Results:
Increased Efficiency: Accountant productivity per shift has increased by 33%.
Accelerated Document Processing: Document processing time has been reduced by a factor of three.

Improving the quality of incoming product photos and optimizing the process

Existing process

Product photography: Use of webcams with a wire at each post for product photography.
Limitations: Equipment budget. Need to minimise the cost of purchasing photographic equipment.

Implemented solution

Mobile application for taking photos: Developed an application with a user-friendly interface for Android and Apple smartphones. The app includes a unique checklist for each product group, making it easy to take photos and enter data.

Result

32%
Increased speed of adding items to large batches. More efficient compliance.
Significant improvement in the quality of receiving photos.
